The City of Pampa is accepting applications for the position of Fire Marshal/Fire Inspector. This position reports directly to the Fire Chief and will be responsible for conducting inspections of existing structures, construction and remodel sites for compliance with fire codes and perform investigations of all major fires and all suspicious or undetermined causes of fire.

Qualifications: Must possess Basic Texas Fire Inspector certification by Texas Commission on Fire Protection or be able to obtain within one year of hire. Three years experience in fire inspection field is preferred. Certified by the commission as a Basic Arson Investigator Certification by Texas Commission on Fire Protection for Basic Firefighter with five years of experience as a fulltime, paid firefighter. Must possess high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position.
