The City of Mansfield, Texas is hiring firefighter/Paramedics. The open aapplication period opened on September 30, 2005 and closes on October 24, 2005 at 4;00 PM. The starting salary is $ 36,750.00 the minimum requirements for applaicats are as follows;

" High School graduate or GED equivalent
" Basic Fire Fighter Certification by Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP)
" Certified, certifiable, or scheduled to obtain certification (all classroom portion complete) as Paramedic or Licensed Paramedic by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS)
" Good moral character and good work ethic, and positive work history
" Current class B Texas Driver's License, or must obtain during first year of employment

The selction process will be as follows:

" Written Examination (November 5, 2005 @ Public Safety Building at 0900 hours)
" Physical Agility Test (Tentative November 12, 2005 @ 0800 hours) (Location to be announced)
" Oral Interview (Week of November 14, 2005 through November 18, 2005) @
Public Safety Building, Fire Chief Conference Room)
" Background Investigation
" Polygraph Test
" Psychological Examination
" Medical Examination - prior to appointment, all eligible applicants will be subject to a physical exam
