The Texas Fire Chiefs Association (TFCA) recognizes the accomplishments of its Members in many ways but each year we present the Fire Chief of the Year Award to someone who especially deserves recognition. Also, a TFCA Member Fire Department is also recognized for a new program each year with the Lone Star Achievement Award.

We also occasionally present Valor Awards to Firefighters who have risked their own lives to save others.
