Plano, Texas Assistant Fire Chief Bob Acker has been named Interim Fire Chief to replace City Fire Chief Bill Peterson while the city conducts a national search for a permanent Fire Chief. Plano's Chief Peterson has left Plano as of the end of January to become the Director of FEMA Region VI also based in Texas.
