Stanford Named Regents Fellow

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents has named Mark Stanford, Chief of Fire Operationsof the Texas Forest Service (TFS) as Regents Fellow.

Stanford graduated from the Arthur Temple College of Forestry at Stephen F. Austin University and has recently celebrated 25 years with TFS. In 2003, he was named Certified Forester by the Society of American Foresters.

Among his many accomplishments, Stanford received the NASA Public Service medal and a NASA Astronaut Office Service Award for his efforts for ground and air search during the Shuttle Columbia recovery efforts.
