Two members of the Texas Fire Chiefs Association of the eight fire officials have been selected for the Harvard Senior Executives in State and Local Government Program -- Dallas Fire Chief Eddie Burns and Fire Chief William Hawley of Allen.

The fire chiefs will attend the Harvard program this summer at the John F. Kennedy School of Government. The 19-day program includes other state and local government leaders from across the country. The fellowship program for fire service leaders is a joint effort between the US Fire Administration, the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
