Job Description:
The City of Arlington Fire Department
is seeking a highly motivated individual
to plan, direct and administer the city's
emergency management program; develop
and organize accidental and terrorism
disaster contingency plans, and implement
and evaluate emergency preparedness
exercises and drills; prepare disaster
preparedness grant applications and
manage the funds and reporting; and
attend conferences, meetings and
seminars as required.
Bachelor's degree in emergency planning,
management, public administration or
related field plus four years experience
in emergency management or any equivalent
combination of education and/or experience.
Master's degree in public administration
preferred. Ability to obtain a Certified
Emergency Manager (CEM) certification
from the International Association of
Emergency Managers and the State of
Texas CEM certification and an FCC Amateur
Radio Operator License.
Salary $72,384 - $99,528.
