Midland, Texas, (population 98,978)
is seeking a highly skilled, innovative
professional to direct and manage the
overall Fire Department operations of
183 employees and an annual operating
budget in excess of $14.6 million.
Divisions within the Fire Department
include: Fire Suppression, Fire Training,
Fire Prevention, Airport Fire and Rescue,
Emergency Medical Services, and Emergency
Management. Bachelors Degree in a related
field and seven years of progressively
responsible senior fire management experience
is required. Graduation from NFA's Executive
Fire Officer (EFO) Program is preferred.
Must have, or have the ability to immediately
obtain a Master Firefighter Certification
from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection
Personnel Standards and Education. EMS,
Fire Inspection and Arson Investigation
experience is desirable. Must have valid
Texas Driver's License or be able to
obtain immediately. Must possess strong
leadership skills and have a proven
record in establishing cooperative relationships
within the community and with private
and public agencies.
Salary commensurate with qualifications
and experience, minimum of $90,000 annually.
