The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office
hosts and sponsors the Texas Regional
Arson Conference to be held January
23-27, 2006 in Houston, Texas
The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office
would like to invite and welcome everyone
to attend the to the Texas Regional
Arson Conference.
This conference presents some of the
area's leading fire investigation experts.
The one week conference will cover all
aspects of arson fire investigation.
It is designed to enhance the criminal
investigation after the fire loss is
determined to be an incendiary act.
The instruction provided is considered
advanced in scope and is not designed
to aid in origin and causation. This
conference is designed to assist the
investigator in identifying, determining
and presenting the responsible party
within an incendiary fire loss.
Location:
The conference will be held at the
spacious Humble Civic Center located
at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway in Humble,
Texas. Lodging and the conference are
both located less than 10 minutes from
Bush Intercontinental Airport.

" Background research
" The internet and arson investigation
" Interviewing the arson suspect
" Interrogating the arson suspect
" Case presentation
" Forensic, circumstantial, and
direct evidence
" Legal aspects of the investigation
and the prosecution
" Mock trial
" The advent of digital media (still
and video)

$350 Regular through January 16, 2006
$400 Late January 16 thru day of the
conference

Registration fee includes all handout
materials, notebook, cd's, conference
