While meeting in North Richland Hills the Texas Fire Chiefs Association (TFCA) Executive Board appointed Cedar Park Fire Chief Chris Connealy to serve as the Central Region Director.

The position came vacant this week due to the resignation of former Brownwood Fire Chief Robert Followwell. Chief Followwell recently retired from the City of Brownwood. The TFCA Constitution calls for the Executive Board to appoint an Active member to fill the unexpired term. Chief Connealy's term will expire in 2007.
