The April 14, 2006 Texas Register contains the following proposed EMS rules:

157.14 - First Responder Organization
157.33 - Certification
157.34 - Recertification and
157.40 - Paramedic Licensure.

The proposed rules are available for review at:
http://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg/issues.shtml in the April 14, 2006 edition of the Texas Register.

These rules in draft form were reviewed and approved by the EMS, Education
and Medical Director committees of the Governor's EMS & Trauma Advisory Council (GETAC). The full body of GETAC formally recommended that the draft rules be presented to the DSHS Council with a request that the rules be proposed for publication
in the Texas Register. The DSHS council requested that the Health & Human
Services Commission (HHSC) publish the rules as proposed in the Texas Registry.
