Texas Fire World is an Internet newsletter with the mission to inform Texas firefighters on the latest news about the state fire service that directly affects them. Having recently graduated from a bi-monthy print format, TFW is now bringing you this information electronically, the fastest, most direct means possible. TFW covers actual emergency responses, both those that grab the headlines and those whose success goes relatively unnoticed. We feature articles on innovations in fire fighting apparatus, equipment, training, strategy and technique making its way to the state for the first time. We also cover the latest news from federal, state and local agencies that support fire fighting in Texas, including where to go for grant money to purchase equipment or training. TFW works closely with many of the most important fire training facilities in Texas to keep you informed about classroom and fire ground education.

Our magazine draws no distinction between the big city career firefighter, the rural volunteer or the broad range of responders in between. To us, these are all fire professionals who may be called upon to put their lives on the line for the protection of others. The demands made on emergency responders are arduous.
